Ryan Sheean
Principal Engineer
Licensed Civil Engineer in Oregon and Washington with fourteen years of project experience across the Pacific Northwest.
Previously a senior project manager at a regional engineering firm, and before that with a national engineering consultancy, Ryan has delivered work across the full arc of a project — feasibility, modeling, design, permitting, and construction support. Much of that was public infrastructure: fish passage barrier removals, stormwater master plans, flood mitigation studies, and highway pump stations for state and municipal agencies.

Direct, and scoped to the site.
You get the engineer, not an account manager. Scope is written to what the site actually needs rather than a standard package, and if a project is not work we should be doing, we say so early rather than late.
Deliverables are built for their second audience as much as their first — the reviewer who has to approve them, and the council or client who has to fund the next phase. Assumptions get documented, alternatives get scored against criteria agreed in advance, and costs are estimated at a level that survives the budget cycle.
Some projects in our portfolio were delivered by our principal engineer while at previous firms. Those are labelled as such on each project, because that is the honest way to show a practice's real depth without overstating what the company itself has invoiced.
